Jessa and James Huebing-Reitinger provide an update on their efforts to
educate the general public on the science of entomology, ecosystem preservation, and
global conservation through the mediums of live performance, visual fine arts,
scientific approach and interactive activities. In particular, they share some stunning
photographs of insects taken during their recent trip to Florida.

artist, discussed art education, formal and informal,
explored the idea that information about the craft of art has been lost
during the past 100 years, and talked about ateliers, traditional methods of learning,
where this is happening, and what you can do within the university system and/or learn on your own.

Lacey Lewis, a Kansas City-based portrait
artist, discussed why she chose to be a traditional realist
even though, because of modernism, there are so many other choices.
She also explored issues of the impact of modernist art on public opinion of the
arts and artists themselves, and what developments currently relate to the promotion
of and return to classic/traditional standards.
